UNITAR Office in Brasilia
The UNITAR Office in Brasilia was established via a Technical Cooperation Agreement signed with the Brazilian Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management (MPOG), the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Relations (ABC) and the National School of Public Administration (ENAP).
UNITAR Office in Brasilia supports the Brazilian government in strengthening the capacities of public servants in the area of infrastructure development - a crucial area for promoting more competitive and socially-inclusive public policies under the Programme for Accelerated Growth (PAC).
The mandate of UNITAR Office in Brasilia is to serve as a regional hub for capacity development and knowledge-sharing to address the needs of Brazilian federal, state and local civil servants and to promote South-South Cooperation activities among Latin America and lusophone African countries. The new Office in Brasilia was inaugurated on 13 October 2010. It is the first office of UNITAR in the Southern Hemisphere. (Read more)
