Welcome!

This training material has been developed by ENDA-TM as part of its work with the Climate Change Capacity Development (C3D) project.  It has been developed over the last two years starting with a technical scoping workshop in Cape Town, South Africa, October 2004 and validated at the first training of trainers workshop held in Dakar, Senegal, July 2005.

The current training package builds on the feedback and lessons learned from two workshops.  It includes more case studies and more extensive group exercises.  One of the primary objectives of producing this training material was to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and performance of individuals and organizations in developing countries to conduct policy analysis for and negotiate on climate change issues.  By holding training of trainer workshops, ENDA-TM is able to increase the number of trained experts within each of the participating countries who, in turn, could become trainers or work as experts at the national and regional level.

We hope that this training package will serve as the basis from which trainers can develop their own training workshops.  ENDA-TM encourages future trainers to adapt and modify the training package as needed, so as to best suit the level and needs of the target audience.

The training material is available in both French and English.
