23 May 2013, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia– From 21-23 May 2013, a major “GHS Review Conference for Southeast Asia (SE Asia)” was held in Kuala Lumpur involving over 80 participants from the 10 SE Asian countries of ASEAN, PR China, Japan, local and regional industry organizations, consumers organizations, NGOs, academia, and relevant international agencies.
12-13 November 2012, Guangzhou, PR China – UNITAR participated in the2012 Technical Coordination Group Meeting under Strengthening Institutions, Regulations and Enforcement Capacities for Effective and Efficient Implementation of the National Implementation Plan in China (the SIRE project), hosted by Foreign Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Environmental Protection of PR China.
5 - 6 November 2012, Osaka, Japan, - UNITAR participated in the biennium conference of the UNEP-hosted Global Partnership on Waste Management (GPWM), held on November 5 and 6 in Osaka, Japan.
