UNITAR/IOMC Programme to Assist Countries in Developing and Sustaining an Integrated National Programme for the Sound Management of Chemicals: Programme Task Force

Overview

A Programme Task Force (PTF) comprising representatives from the IOMC Participating Organisations, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Secretariat of the Basel Convention, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) serves as a steering committee for this Programme. As the implementing organisation for the pilot programme, UNITAR provides the secretariat for the PTF. The PTF meets regularly to discuss issues of programme planning and implementation, and serves as a mechanism for channeling relevant guidance and expertise of the participating organisations to the country level in order to address specific needs identified by the partner countries.
