TW9: Thematic Workshop on Strengthening Capacities to Implement the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)

This workshop was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 15-18 November 2005, organized by UNITAR in collaboration with ILO, the Government of South Africa and the University of Cape Town (UCT), with financial support from the Government of Switzerland and the OPCW. The purpose of the workshop, the ninth in a series of UNITAR-organised events, was to exchange experiences with GHS capacity building and implementation, take stock of current activities and needs, and undertake a review of guidance materials and methodology.
