This course
has been very enriching with lively debates from enthusiastic experienced
diplomats around the world. The course was very well structured and the
modules were delivered by some leading experts in the field of diplomacy.
With a background in law, I must admit that issues such as customary international
law and the declaratory effects of General Assembly Resolutions on developing
states have been touched upon on the course. Let me recommend this course
to any future aspiring international lawyers specializing in field of
diplomacy and congratulate UNITAR for its special efforts and innovative
approach in delivering this course.

Well-designed
course, excellent trainers, friendly and eager colleagues - That's my
impressions about the course. Although it is an e-learning course but
I felt no distance. The discussions were so interesting and I have learnt
so many things. My mind has been opened and the as a delegate coming from
a developing country, I have been gain much more confident to attend and
perform well in many international conference since I have attended in
the course.

It
was a privilege to have participated in the first of UNITAR’s e-courses
on multilateral diplomacy. The advantage of the course structure allowed
us not only to see the theoretical aspects of multilateral conferences,
but also to gain practical knowledge of how things really work in the
international system. The feedback from experts will help those of us
who are just entering the field to learn from their experiences. Additionally,
the ability of the internet made this course truly a “multilateral”
experience with students from all parts of the world.

The
course has proved to be an eye opener for me and I am most sure, for
all the participants. I was blind but now I can see. I had assumed a
lot of things but now I know what I am doing! Most of my work, if not
my entire work is premised on diplomacy, and at my current duty station
I attend meetings on a daily basis, negotiate and do everything that
the course covers, but the most important thing is that now I am well
informed and prepared. The course was well structured, covered everything
from introductions to the conclusions, and was most practical. I would
really recommend this course not only for beginners but for all those
who deal with diplomacy at all levels.

 It
is really, beyond an ordinary learning opportunity to get this kind of
chance at your work environment with your computer screen and keyboard.
The combination of online discussions; online exchanges of views with
such participants and trainers; video and audio clips/webcasts carefully
taken from live conferences, additional resources fulfilled my expectations
more than enough. Furthermore, carefully selected discussion board questions
from the practical experiences of the trainers stimulated and provoked
constructively the participants. As such, I really enjoyed being part
of this enriching course. At the bottom line, if there were any such a
chance in the future, I would recommend for my fellow colleagues and friends
to be the beneficiaries of these e-learning courses.

 This
e-learning course is very useful for me and has increased awareness and
understanding the mechanics and working methods of multilateral conferences
and diplomacy. I was be able to discuss and share experiences with the
trainers and hundreds participants from all over the world. It was very
exciting. I found that the documents of this e-learning course are more
complete and comprehensive than the real (face-to-face) course.
