The section´s Fellowship Programmes consist of intensive
courses covering training periods ranging from 3 weeks
to 7 months. They take place annually, and participation
is based on a competitive selection process.
Currently, fellowships are offered in three distinct areas,
namely:
Fellowships are open to junior to mid-level diplomats,
government officers, teachers of international law and international
relations as well as to NGO representatives. Age limits
apply to each Programme.
Fellowships are available to applicants from developing
and least developed countries as well as from countries
with economies in transition. Participants from other countries can apply
to participate on a cost-covering (ILP) or fee-paying basis
(IAM).
Information on these fellowships (including course brochures
and application forms) is disseminated via permanent missions,
UNDP country offices, some specialized ministries, universities, United Nations Information Centres
as well as our alumni network.
Respective background information, application
forms and reports of previous
Fellowship programmes, and answers to frequently
asked questions are available on this website.
