5 March to 4 May 2012, Social Media Tools, e-learning course. 

UNITAR is pleased to announce the opening of registrations of the fifth session of the Innovative Collaboration for Development course from 5 March to 4 May 2012.

Jointly developed by UNITAR and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the ICfD is an e-learning course on social media tools, which has been awarded the 2011 international Open ECBCheck Quality Standards. 

The overall goal of the course is to empower development professionals to recognize the potential of social media and to make innovative use of these tools to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and reach of their work. The course, therefore, gives participants the opportunity to use and analyze social media tools in light of their adaptability to specific workplace contexts.

The course fee is USD 850. Class will be opened with a minimum of 20 participants, on a first-come-first served basis.
