November 2011, Lilongwe, Malawi – A representative of the UN CC:Learn Secretariat paid a visit to Malawi to discuss the UN CC:Learn project with Government, UN partners and other interested parties. The mission coincided with and provided an opportunity to discuss the project at a Training Workshop on Climate Change Diplomacy, 15-17 Nov 2011, supported by UNDP and UNITAR. November 2011, Cotonou, Benin – Addressing the adverse effects of climate change in Benin, such as floods, droughts, heat-waves and sea-level rise, requires new competences and skills in various sectors, and at different levels of governance. To address this challenge, Benin kicked off the UN CC: Learn pilot project entitled “Strengthening Human Resources and Skills to Address Climate Change” on 10 November 2011, through a National Planning Workshop in Cotonou. The 2nd Meeting of UN CC:Learn Steering Group took place on 7-8 July 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.
