The side event will bring together decision makers to present and discuss national approaches to strengthen human resources and skills development to advance green, climate resilient and sustainable development. The discussion will focus on highlighting opportunities and challenges of fostering a strategic approach to learning and skills development, including sectoral learning strategies and strengthening of national learning institutions. The event is organized through collaboration between UNITAR, UN CC:Learn Partners, and the Global Sustainability Panel Secretariat. It is sponsored by the Government of Switzerland through its support of the 2011-2013 Pilot Implementation Phase of UN CC:Learn.
