Background
The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) are organizing a series of open lectures on a regular basis at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, entitled The Geneva Lecture Series. The lectures aims to foster awareness of a number of pressing global challenges among audiences in Geneva and beyond, with a focus on how each individual can contribute to resolving such challenges.
Event Objectives
The seventh of the Geneva Lecture Series will be delivered by Mr. Carlos Slim Helú, Founder of the Carlos Slim Foundation, on the topic "How are new technologies impacting business and changing the world?" via videoconference from Geneva to New York on Monday, 11 June 2012 from 10:00 to 12:00 (4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Palais des Nations in Geneva).
