The event will present the Eye on Earth Special Initiative “Access for All (A4A)” that aims at supporting the development of adequate institutional and legislative enabling conditions for furthering the implementation of Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration. Principle 10 addresses access to information, public participation and access to justice in environmental matters. The A4A Initiative particularly focuses on access to environmental and societal data and information for decision-making. The event will bring together representatives of government delegations, donor community, Eye on Earth stakeholders and partners, scientific and technical institutions, environmental organizations, media, and interested stakeholders, among others. The event is organized by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) in collaboration with A4A partners, including UNITAR.
