The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the University of Geneva invite you for the launching conference of a joint Master’s programme of advanced studies in European Studies and International Governance.

MEIG conference posterThe conference will be chaired by Mr. Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva and will take place on 20 February 2017 at the University of Geneva, Unimail - Room S150 from 6:15pm to 8:00pm and is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the Master’s programme and who wishes to enrol in the programme the coming years.

During the conference, Mr. Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, will address the ‘governance deficits’ feeding instability and challenges at all levels of governance. The discussion, adoption and implementation of local, national, regional and multilateral policies have faced many difficulties in the phase of a growing list of global challenges such as rising inequalities within and between countries, migration challenges and the inability of the international community to stop the violence and armed conflicts in Syria, Yemen and elsewhere.
