Conference on Sea and Human Security, Hiroshima, 6-8 March 2002
Outcome
40 speakers and participants from 21 countries of the Asia-Pacific region took part in this three days Conference and discussed the policy aspects linking sea and human security discussed. The topics included: sea level rise; coastal zone management; fisheries and food stocks; pollution.
Cooperation with International Oceans Institute (IOI) was established.
