VIP Visit
AFGHAN AMBASSADOR VISITS UNITAR HIROSHIMA
 

 H.E Eklil Hakimi, Ambassador of Afghanistan to Japan, presented a floral offering in remembrance of the victims of the atomic bombing at the Cenothaph of the Peace Memorial Park.


  LEGISLATORS VISIT UNITAR

A legislative delegation from the Komeito Party visited with the Head of UNITAR Hiroshima to coordinate political support for the 2010 UNITAR Action Plan. The delegation was comprised of the Honorables Juichi Tagawa, Usui Yoshio, and Nishita Hiroshi, representing both the Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima City Assemblies.

 COURTESY VISIT TO JAPAN’S FOREIGN AFFAIRS STATE SECRETARY

  

On January 29 a delegation from UNITAR visited with H. E. Koichi Takemasa, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Japan, to discuss UNITAR’s global outreach and specially the creation of a Japan-Latin America Economic Cooperation Forum in 2011.


MEDIA PARTNERSHIP WITH CHUGOKU SHIMBUN

  

On Thursday 14 January 2010, a UNITAR delegation visited the main newspaper in Hiroshima to renew its collaboration. The president of the newspaper Mr. Kazuyuki Kawamoto is shown with the head of UNITAR Hiroshima Office.


UNITAR HIROSHIMA HEAD MEETS CHAIRMAN OF HIROSHIMA CITY COUNCIL

 On Wednesday 13 January 2010, UNITAR Hiroshima Head, Mr. Alex Mejia, met with the Honourable Hiroyuki Fujita, Chairman of the Hiroshima City Council, to thank him and his esteemed colleagues for their continued support of UNITAR as well as to discuss projects in 2010.


 NEW HIROSHIMA GOVERNOR SUPPORTS UNITAR 

The Honourable Hidehiko Yuzaki reaffirmed the commitment of his new administration to UNITAR's capacity building programmes. Here he is shown with the Head of the Hiroshima Office receiving an inauguration gift.
