Study Visit to UNITAR HOAP

 

Yarra Valley Grammar- Hiroshima Johoku High School Exchange Programme

Seven students and two teachers from the Yarra Valley Grammar School (Australia), and representatives of Hiroshima Johoku School and Intercultural Youth Exchange Organization (NPO) visited the UNITAR Hiroshima Office for Asia and the Pacific on 19 September. Nassrine Azimi, Director of the Office, gave a talk on Hiroshima and its message, UNITAR's own activities, peace building, arms race, environment and climate change issues. Student raised many questions on United Nations, peace activities and environment as well as the personal experiences of the Director working for the United Nations.
