Some twenty peace activists from Hiroshima visited the UNITAR Hiroshima Office on 26 February. Sharapiya Kakimova welcomed them and gave a talk on UNITAR Hiroshima Office activities. She emphasized that through its activities UNITAR provides a platform not only for learning, but more importantly for sharing experience and knowledge between professionals from around the world. In addition, she introduced the office's website in more detail and provided an update on up-coming activities for the year 2008. The importance of the message of Hiroshima for UNITAR participants was also mentioned and discussed with visitors. Discussion continued on what Japan can learn from other countries, especially from the developing world.
