UNITAR Hiroshima Office provided a briefing for a group of senior officials (from Moldova, Ukraine, Mozambique, Zambia, Malaysia and Palau) who were taking part in the JICA Seminar on National Government Administration organised in conjunction with the National Personnel Authority of Japan. Sharapiya Kakimova, Sergei Shaposhnikov and James Short gave a presentation on UNITAR and its training activities, in particular the post-conflict UNITAR Fellowship for Afghanistan. Attendees asked questions about the establishment of the Hiroshima Office, UNITAR activities in other parts of the world and in-country follow up activities for UNITAR alumni. Discussions were also held on ways of sharing some of the curricula designed and implemented thus far by UNITAR.
