Admission Procedure
For the time being, ILP is not accepting more applications for this course.
Eligibility
The Diploma Course in International Environmental Law is designed to be followed by anyone interested in enhancing their knowledge of international environmental law. Prior legal study is not compulsory. The International Law Programme (IlP, former ELP) endeavors to achieve an equitable geographical representation and gender balance between participants and ensure that participants have diverse educational backgrounds.
Processing Applications
Applications for the course are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applications are processed four times a year (30 January, 30 April, 30 July and 30 October). Successful candidates will be notified thereafter.
Selection Criteria
The admission of a candidate is based on the following criteria:
- Quality of the Curriculum Vitae and University Degree(s)
- Professional experience and commitment towards environmental protection
- Benefits for the candidate and for their professional environment
- Language skills
- Motivation

Each potential candidate is required to submit an application file comprised of three elements:
- Application Form
- Motivation Letter
- Curriculum Vitae
Commencing the Course
Selected participants can commence the course following their formal acceptance and after making the payment of corresponding course fees. The fee for the entire course (books 1 to 10) is USD 2,000. A special fee is applied for candidates from developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
