Internships at the International Law ProgrammeThe International Law Programme (ILP) offers a limited number of internship positions for university students interested in enhancing their knowledge and gaining practical experience in the field of international law, international environmental law and sustainable development. The ILP welcomes applications from qualified candidates to work for a period of six months on a full-time and unpaid basis at the headquarters of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Geneva, Switzerland. Applicants must demonstrate eagerness to learn about international law and have an academic background in related fields. Interns have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution towards UNITAR’s work and to gain work experience in the areas of international law, sustainable development and project management. They are expected to assume a high level of responsibility, along with being highly committed and proactive. Depending on the level of experience, interns will be responsible for core tasks related to the courses administered by the ILP such as assisting in the management of training activities; organizing workshops; preparing reports and publications and managing databases.
