The Knowledge Systems Innovation section coordinates benchmarking actions to contribute to continuous innovation in the implementation of UNITAR’s learning and training strategies. It works to enable the expanded use of technology-enhanced learning and the access to information and knowledge on training methodologies and tools, and to facilitate the utilization of modern instructional design approaches.

KSI analyzes and compiles information, develops prototypes, implements innovative learning settings, assess their performance and disseminates results to enable the diversification of training methodologies and its expanded use by divisional entities implementing training activities. The analysis of quality standards criteria and the support to the implementation of an internal quality assurance framework to enable the delivery of certified training are other areas of work of KSI.
