UNITAR and OpenLab have joined forces with the common objective of developing and implementing activities to foster the development of human competences that contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, particularly activities related to sustainable development.
OpenLab is an NGO that creates opportunities for human development. It seeks to challenge people to experiment new ways of thinking, perceiving, and working to enhance their potential to create or aggregate value for current and future generations in the society. The partnership was created with the intention of combining OpenLab’s expertise in the application of methodological tools and know-how directed to the sensitization, mobilization, training and development of entrepreneurial human competences, including and benefitting all segments of society with UNITAR’s mission to deliver innovative training and conduct research on knowledge systems to develop the capabilities of beneficiaries.
The Open Dojô Program is the first activity jointly implemented by UNITAR and OpenLab in the framework of cooperation agreement. The program aims at developing youth leadership for sustainability by enhancing individual capacities and creating a network of social innovators who are able to demonstrate unique professional and personal skills required to effectively perform in today’s global reality.
