CIFAL Kuala Lumpur was formed as a joint initiative between UNITAR, UNDP, CITYNET, Veolia Environnement, and the City of Kuala Lumpur, to promote the exchange of expertise in urban planning and environmental management. CIFAL Kuala Lumpur provides training to city mayors, senior city managers, and urban practitioners with the objective of facilitating best practices and tools, that support superior urban planning techniques.
Through a problem-solving and a case study based learning approach, CIFAL Kuala Lumpur helps city managers and practitioners across the Asia Pacific to address the challenges faced in the process of urbanization.
