CityShare Methodology

During our capacity development activities, we combine traditional training methods - such as presentations by practitioners - with interactive approaches that are based on knowledge management techniques and field visits.

Our main knowledge management methodology “CityShare” allows participants to share knowledge, experiences, good practice and lessons learnt in order to build a strategic action plan that integrates international conventions into local development programmes. It enables a significant improvement of the performance of the participants’organization.

The CityShare methodology aims at optimizing peer learning between local officials. It consists of various processes of self-assessment, distillation and transmission of experiences and good practices. It is also composed of several tools which provide a common framework for the evaluation of experiences made by the participating cities and offer a common language for the exchange and assimilation of the experiences, as well as a roadmap for action and progress.
