LDP e-learning courses

In order to further increase the outreach of its training activities, LDP recently started developing a portfolio of e-learning courses and conducted a successful pilot course on Governance in Urban Sanitation. Following the example of LDP’s conventional trainings, this course helps local actors achieving the MDGs – not only target 3 of  the 7th MDG, which aims at increasing the proportion of the population with sustainable access to basic sanitation, but also Target 4 requiring the achievement of significant improvements in the lives of slum dwellers.

LDP online courses are grounded on sound adult pedagogical principles. They include highly social elements, self-assessment activities, case studies and peer-to-peer review and evaluation. This wide set of activities ensures knowledge sharing among participants and stimulates the creation of lively networks, which outlasted the end of courses.

An online course on Sustainable Urban Mobility is currently under development.
