02 July 2014, Istanbul, Turkey – Reaching an important milestone, Afghan officials have concluded the first module of the Executive Master’s Degree programme. The Executive Master’s Degree programme in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) is a joint collaboration between UNITAR and the Graduate Institute of Geneva. 30 June 2014, Jeju, Republic of Korea – CIFAL Jeju convened fourteen government officials and civil society representatives from nine countries from Asia-Pacific for a three-day workshop on “Capacity Building for Sustainable Waste Management in the Asia-Pacific Region to Promote Eco-Town Model and Integrated Solid Waste Management”. CIFAL Jeju hosted the event from 24 to 26 June 2014 at Jeju International Training Center (JITC).
30 June 2014, Bangladesh – CIFAL Scotland in partnership with Bangladesh Association for Sustainable Development (BASD) and Gaia Education hosted the two-day workshop “Climate Change: How it Impacts us All”, in the framework of the project Building Capacity and Empowering Communities (BCEC). The event, held in Mongla on the 26 – 27 June, convened 40 community members and leaders from 42 communities of the Khulna and Bagerhat districts of southern Bangladesh.
