New Calendar of UNITAR’s e-Courses on International Law is Published
August 2012, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR’s International Law Programme has recently published the list of e-courses scheduled to be run during the second semester of 2012. The course calendar for the upcoming semester is currently accessible. It comprises among others seven e-learning courses in English, four e-courses in Spanish and one in French. More French courses have been already scheduled to be launched in the year 2013.
During the first semester of 2012, UNITAR trained more than 500 participants on several topics of international law offering exclusively courses delivered in English. However, UNITAR is working to offer a broad range of e-learning courses in Spanish and French to reach beneficiaries from Latin American and West African Countries. Therefore, our Institute is constantly developing new International Law current topics to respond to the increasing demands of practitioners and law professionals for this kind of training.
In the second semester of 2012, UNITAR offers e-courses focused on the Law of Treaties, on International Environmental Law and on the Law of International Organizations. In particular, UNITAR will conduct e-courses addressed to Spanish speaking participants on the Introducción al Derecho Ambiental Internacional, Gobernanza Ambiental International, Técnicas y Procedimientos en Derecho Ambiental Internacional and Negociaciones Internacionales sobre Medio Ambiente.
The e-learning courses on International Law offered by UNITAR are fee-based courses; however the fee structure is designed for the participation of students from a wide range of countries. Thus, reduced fees are available for participants from least developed countries, developing countries and countries with economies in transition. Interested individuals can register for the e-courses on International Law through the UNITAR online catalogue that allows course fee payments by credit card.
