Dr. Yvonne C. Lodico serves as the Head of the UNITAR New York Office. Prior to joining UNITAR, she served as special advisor with the UN integrated mission in Timor-Leste for nearly four years. On the mission, she also served as the focal point for women. In addition to serving with the mission in Timor, she also served on three other UN missions in sub-Sahara Africa, as well as served as lawyer with the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs. Further, Ms. Lodico has taught Human Rights Law and advised on international affairs and law.
Her education includes degrees in law, international affairs and religion, from respectively New York University, Columbia University and Yale University. At Yale, she received the MacFaddin scholarship. She has published on topics on space law, peacekeeping, post conflict recovery, humanitarian intervention and democratic governance.

Ambassador Ahmad Kamal served as a professional diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for close to forty years until his retirement in 1999. During this period he held diplomatic postings in India, Belgium, France, the Soviet Union, Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Korea, and with the United Nations both in Geneva and in New York.
During his decade-long assignment as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, he held many of the highest elective posts, as Vice President of the General Assembly, President of the Economic and Social Council, Chairman of the Consultations on the Role of NGOs at the United Nations, Chairman of the Working Group on Informatics, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and a member of the United Nations Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions. He was the chief negotiator of Pakistan in the Uruguay Round negotiations which led to the establishment of the World Trade Organization.
He continues to be a Senior fellow at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and the Founding President and CEO of the Ambassadors’ Club at the United Nations.
Ambassador Kamal the author of numerous important publications on disarmament, management, multilateralism, global economic issues, as well as on the technical aspects of informatics and information technology. He is an Honorary Visiting Professor at six universities in the United States, and has received numerous honors Pakistan and in countries where he has been posted.

Mr. Max Bruno Cavazzini serves as a collaborator at the UNITAR New York office since February 2014. Max has two masters from King’s College London and University College London in International Security and Global governance. His focus has been in post conflict reconstruction and peace building, focusing on Lusophone Africa as well as Liberia. He also holds substantial environmental and sustainable development experience. Max is originally from Durban, South Africa

Mr. Andrew Huemmer serves as an intern at the UNITAR New York Office since January 2014. Before joining UNITAR, Andrew conducted postgraduate research on Russian diplomacy within the United Nations Security Council at the University of Glasgow, where he also obtained his Masters of Research. Prior to this, Andrew received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Andrew is from Madison, Wisconsin, United States.

Ms. Dongfei Xia serves as an intern with UNITAR New York Office. Presently, Dongfei is also a first-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) student with a concentration in International Finance and Economic Policy and a specialization in Management at Columbia University. She previously worked at Cargenie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy and International Strategic and Security Research Center. Dongfei is originally from Beijing, China.
