Date: 23-24 March 2009
Venue: United Nations Headquarters
Objective:
This two-day seminar offered a platform for discussing some of the factors and actors shaping migration and development policies. It examined potential conflicts and synergies that arise between policy objectives in both areas; presented strategies aimed at reconciling migration and development priorities within and among Governments; and discussed the institutional mechanisms and partnership arrangements with various stakeholders underpinning efforts for greater coherence between migration and development policies.
