General briefing on the work of the General Assembly

Objective
The main objective of the general briefing is to enable representatives to familiarize themselves with the work and procedures of the General Assembly.
Organization
Participants will be reviewing the procedures, the agenda and the documentation of the General Assembly. They will also be provided with practical information on the various services available to delegations.
Participants
The briefing is primarily designed for those delegates who are attending a session of the General Assembly for the first time. The registered candidates are requested to regard their participation as a firm commitment.
Resource persons
The briefing will be conducted by Mr. Jean Gazarian, UNITAR Senior Fellow. Presentations will be made by experienced diplomats and by members of the Secretariat.
Working languages
Intepretation will be provided, to the extent possible, in the official languages of the General Assembly.
