Fees, Certificates and Pre-Selection

Fees:
This MEFMI / UNITAR online course on Domestic Debt Sustainability Analysis is offered free of charge for applicants from the target audience from MEFMI Member states. For other applicants, course fee is US$400 per participant.

(Target Audience: Officials from principal agencies involved in Domestic Debt Management in the MEFMI member states such as the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Planning and the Central government’s Treasury or Accountant General’s Department. MEFMI Member States: Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe)

Certificates:
Successful e-Course participants receive a certificate from MEFMI/UNITAR after successful completion of the course.

Selection Process/Criteria:
The following steps aim at providing a clearer picture of the selection process.

It should be noted that the target audience of this course are officials from principal agencies involved in domestic debt management in the MEFMI member states such as the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Planning and the Central government’s Treasury or Accountant General’s Department.

Consequently, it should be expected that a large majority of our accepted participants will hail from the MEFMI member states (Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe).

Please read below the steps involved in participant selection for this online course.

Step 1:
Applicants fill out the online Registration Form. After applicants click the "Submit" button, they will receive a reply via email from confirming receipt of their application.

Step 2:
MEFMI in consultation with the Course Director will allot a maximum number of slots to be made available for a particular course.

Step 3:
The MEFMI Selection Committee goes through every applicant's details to make the selection taking into consideration the target audience.

Step 4:
Following the initial selection and before the start of the course, MEFMI / UNITAR sends a pre-selection message via email to request reconfirmation from applicants to ensure that they are still available and committed to take the course.

Step 5:
Pre-selected participants who reconfirmed their availability are accepted. Their username and passwords are created and sent to them the week before the start of the course.

Step 6:
Applicants from outside the target audience will be invoiced by MEFMI. Payment must be received by MEFMI before the start of the course.

Step 7:
Applicants who are not accepted are notified via email requesting them to re-apply in future. This notification is usually sent when the course is about to start.
