UNITAR Hiroshima Fellowship for Afghanistan is a long-term initiative which develops the leadership and management skills of an annual selection of key senior Afghan government officials, academics and practitioners. The Fellowship seeks to contribute to sustainable learning in the workplace and to lessen the present dependency of the Afghan civil service on the human resources and expertise provided by the international community. Join us as we discuss Afghanistan; its tragic recent history, its needs and its vision for its own future, through the eyes of its greatest resource, the Afghan people themselves.
The presentation itself is envisioned to have two components. The initial five minutes consisting of a powerpoint and slideshow presentation on UNITAR’s works towards the reconstruction of Afghanistan. The second five minute segment will consist of a presentation of traditional dances and national costumes that will be followed by an opportunity for Expo attendees to try on the national costumes for a photo opportunity.
