UNITAR’s Post-2015 Development Agenda Briefing and Orientation Programme
With the process to develop the Post-2015 development agenda approaching critical milestones, UNITAR is organizing a series of interactive technical briefings for members of delegations and other government officials at the United Nations in New York and in Geneva. The overall objective of the briefings is to strengthen knowledge for evidence-based decision making in the formulation of the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
This programme was developed in direct consultation with the Office of the UN Special Adviser on Post-2015 development planning, which, given the importance and complexity of the Post-2015 process, requested UNITAR to mobilise its competency in the design and delivery of delegates’ orientation and training, drawing on technical resources from 22 UN entities.
The Phase I of the series featured 15 different briefings in New York and 10 briefings in Geneva.
