UNITAR partners with Sulá Batsú Cooperative to implement course on social media tools

Through a partnership agreement signed with UNITAR, Sulá Batsú Cooperative will be cooperating with the Institute on the delivery of the course Innovative Collaboration for Development , the first e-Learning course implemented by UNITAR and FAO in the framework of their agreement to jointly deliver a series of online courses on knowledge management and web 2.0 technologies.

Sulá Batsú is a cooperative of professionals based in San José, Costa Rica, which seeks to contribute to social transformation through creative work with knowledge sharing and collective creation spaces, social economy models and information and communication technologies. Its expertise on the utilization of web 2.0 tools to enhance work effectiveness and facilitate networking within communities, particularly in developing countries, is a valuable contribution to the successful implementation of the course Innovative Collaboration for Development to be launched next September by UNITAR and FAO.

As the first session of the course will be delivered in English, UNITAR and Sulá Batsú expect to expand their collaboration so as to work on the customization and implementation of the course Innovative Collaboration for Development for Spanish speaking countries.
