The United Nations Institute for Training and Research is pleased to announce a French-Language Workshop on Effective Negotiation in Multilateral Conferences to be held on 7 and 8 September at United Nations Headquarters in New York (Conference Room C). The workshop, co-organized with the Olof Palme Memorial Fund (hyperlink: palmefonden.se), is part of the 2011 Negotiation Series “Towards a level playing field”.

The workshop aims at equipping delegates from developing countries and least developed countries with the necessary skills to perform efficiently in multilateral conferences and obtaining concrete results. Through cases studies, discussions and experience of practitioners, participants will learn the objectives, outcomes and processes of multilateral conferences; the strategies and techniques of positive negotiated results as well as how to analyse the dynamics of negotiations.
