This atlas presents an overview of building damages in Haiti as identified in satellite and aerial imagery recorded after the magnitude 7.0 Haitian earthquake of 12 January 2010. It was produced in support of the Post Disaster Needs Assessment and Recovery Framework (PDNA); and represents a joint analysis by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT), the European Commission (EC) Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the World Bank. The categorization of damage is based on the European Macroseismic Scale (EMS-98) Five-level grading system. This atlas product includes an overview map of the atlas sheets, as well as individual sheets at a scale of 1:2,500 for A3 size hardcopy prints. Projection: UTM Zone 18 North - NAD-83. | |
