This map illustrates IDP shelter changes near Doolow, Somalia as visible in satellite imagery between 26 October 2010 and 07 June 2012. There are two IDP settlements which have developed as of 07 June 2012 within a few kilometers of Doolow. The Kabasa settlement is 1.4 kilometers east of the town, along the main road, with an area of approximately 14.5 ha and with 2,183 shelters. The second settlement, Qansalay, is 2.2 kilometers south west of Doolow with an approximate area of 35 ha and with 1,155 shelters. This is a preliminary analysis & has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR / UNOSAT.
