This map illustrates satellite-detected areas of damaged structures in Capocaan, Leyte Island, Philippines. This analysis represent satellite detected damaged shelters from WorldView-1 data acquired 11 November 2013. Due to the resolution of the imagery this damage analysis is an estimate of damaged structures and does not reflect the actual total of damaged structures in Capocaan. However, in the analyzed area it is estimated that more than 60% of structure were destroyed or severely damaged.This is a preliminary analysis & has not yet been validated in the field.
