This report provides a preliminary analysis of the Ab Barak landslide which occurred on 2 May 2014. Satellite imagery acquired on 7 June 2013 and 5 May 2014 by the WorldView-2 satellite as well as Google Earth images were used for this report. Geographic datasets produced for this assessment and additional UNOSAT products are available at http://www.unitar.org/unosat/maps/AFG. This report is part of the satellite monitoring by UNITAR / UNOSAT of the Landslide in Ab Barak, Badakshan Province, Afghanistan in support of international humanitarian assistance and created to respond to the needs of UN agencies and their partners.
