This map illustrates satellite-detected landcover over Zone 2 of the Bidi Bidi refugee settlement, Aringa district, Yumbe province, Uganda. Using a WorldView-2 satellite image collected on 30 August 2016, UNOSAT extracted 4 main classes of landcover within the zone of interest, including agricultural lands, vegetated areas, light vegetation and barren lands / urban area. Within Zone 2, agricultural lands comprise 4%, vegetated areas are 14.76%, light vegetation is 66.64%, and bare soil / urban area are 14.62%. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR - UNOSAT.
