21 September 2020, Buenos Aires, Argentina- The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Argentina (CIFAL Argentina), Luciernaga Foundation, the International Centre of Applied Cognitive Neuroscience, ISIMA University of Mexico and Huertas Collage Puerto Rico presented the II Latin American Conference on Educational Neuroscience (online modality) on 14 – 15 August 2020 . The two-day conference aimed to serve as a platform for the exchange of best practices and knowledge in the field of cognitive neuroscience applied to education.
Brain education has been promoted as a holistic educational method that can serve as a tool to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Research has demonstrated that the brain and its neural processes have an impact on our environment as a reflection of what we do and how our bodies work. Hence through the improvement of the brain functioning we could make a positive contribution to our global problems.
Reflecting on the importance of this issue, CIFAL Argentina carried out the II Latin American Conference on Educational Neuroscience that featured 25 high-profile speakers from 10 countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, United States, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
The design of the event included presentations, roundtable with experts and Q&A sessions to cover topics related to cognitive neuroscience, such as, non-verbal learning challenges, business intelligence, upgrading memory skills, managing emotions, the science behind the learning process, among others.
With a total of 40, 000 + registrations and 170, 000 + visualizations worldwide, the Conference was praised by the participants for the high quality of the presentations and good organization of the event.
