15 January- 12 February 2019, Malaga, Spain - The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Malaga (CIFAL Malaga) jointly with Centre for Teachers of Malaga and Art and Sustainability Organization hosted the course “Art and sustainability at the Museum” to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through art. This five-day course was addressed to 25 teachers from the province of Malaga.

Its main objective was to design sustainability projects in the classroom with pedagogical materials and art pieces of the Museum of Malaga. Additionally, participants had to present their projects and their linkages to the SDGs.

The training activity also facilitated the acquisition of knowledge through diverse lectures on SDGs. During the educational sessions, participants had the opportunity to debate about concrete contributions of the education to sustainability.

At the end of the course, attendees expressed their satisfaction as they could deepen their knowledge on arts and its impact in topics such as peace, justice and gender equality.
