In the last decades Cognitive Neuroscience has provided new theoretical and practical frameworks on the processes related to the brain and cognition. The mind-body duality has been shifted to a new dimension in which a more comprehensive and integrated vision incorporates the interaction of the person with the social context.

Organizations are a space conducive to the implementation of the knowledge developed by Cognitive Neuroscience, because it is a field of work in which human behavior operates, without losing sight that this is the result of cognitive and affective mechanisms that each person owns.

Neuromanagement consists of applying cognitive neuroscience to business management, studying all neurocognitive processes involved in decision making. It aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of management in production and business organizations using as our central model our own management structure, our brain. It aims to leverage human resources for better teamwork, increased productivity, and healthy organizations.

“Neuroleadership” is based on the characteristics that a leader must develop. This implies that individuals can be trained in subjects like Mind Theory, Emotional Intelligence, Mirror Neurons, Empathy and Sympathy, Decision Making and Motivation.

The workshop aims to provide an overview of the  contributions of Cognitive Neurosciences to all tasks inherent to organizational areas (evaluation and selection of personnel, training, negotiation, decision making, team building and management, organizational restructuring, leadership, management). Ultimately, it will help professionals and entrepreneurs to improve productivity, optimize labor costs, find techniques and strategies for communication and negotiation optimization, develop creativity and stimulate improvement in decision making through the application of tools, techniques and strategies provided by cognitive neuroscience.

The workshop on Neuroscience applied to organizations will address the following topics:

  • Module 1: Optimizing the resources of the organization: Cognitive Neuroscience and Human Resources
  • Module 2: Maintaining a healthy organization for the enhancement of its resources: Addressing work stress from neurocognitive strategies
  • Module 3: Neuro-leadership: The intelligent organization
  • Module 4: Teamwork, motivation and creativity: The keys to Human Resources
  • Module 5: Negotiation and communication: Speaking the same language
  • Module 6: Evaluation of work licenses and detection of simulation from Cognitive Neuroscience

As the workshop aims to develop skills, emphasis will be placed on short presentations that will be combined with a series of interactive training tools, including role-plays, simulations, task assignments, case studies and video performance assessments.

This workshop is aimed at local government decision makers, representatives of service providers (eg, national governments, private sector and NGOs) and international organizations in the Patagonia region of Argentina.

  • Participants will receive a certificate of workshop participation.
  • The workshop has a fee of US $50.00
