This seminar will present a methodology for biodiversity conservation based on “the Guidelines for Local Biodiversity Strategies and Actions Plans (LBSAP)” developed by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD), ICLEI and UNU-IAS.
Paticipants will be involved in mock negotiations to reach consensus on common solutions for managing the local biomes based on a given area formed by four cities and in a border of two state governments. This exercise aims to create a dialogue platform to manage biodiversity conservation and simultaneously solve environmental challenges that affect the quality of life of the population within the defined region.
