STEM Education aims to encourage students' interest in issues related to the development of technological innovations. The training of professionals in the STEM area seeks not only to alert young people about the shortage of skilled labor in these areas, but also to raise awareness about the potential for economic and technological development generated by these areas. Thus, with the purpose of arousing interest in STEM education in schools and stimulating the interest of students in these sectors, CIFAL Curitiba proposes to hold STEM Lectures, involving young apprentices who participate in projects of the Robert Bosch Institute.

The lecture aims to encourage young apprentices to pursue theirs studies in the field of technologic and STEM areas, and demonstrate the importance of these careers for Brazil’s economy and development.

The lecture aims to promote spaces of inspiration for young apprentices who participate in sciences projects of the Robert Bosh Institute, through meetings with STEM professionals and students (Bosh collaborators and students of technical and technologic courses at Senai), with the objective of reporting experiences on vocational education and the labor market. The topics to be addressed during the lectures will focus on the area of applied science, such as: mechatronics, robotics, automation, electricity, mechanics, etc.

Bosch employees, from different STEM areas, will guide the lecture, sharing their life and study trajectory, as well as their professions and the current work they develop in industry.
