Being the 10th largest trading nation in the World, Korea’s Economy has been one of the main research themes for international academics in the economics field. International conferences hosted by the Association of Korean Economic Studies (AKES) functioned as the channels by which Korean Economics experts shared and exchanged academic reports on Korean Economy, thus enabling them to grasp Korea’s economic status and directivity of the World Economy.

The 17th International Conference of the AKES will especially handle the subjects including financial crisis, climate change, international trade and regionalism, the fourth industrial revolution, economic growth and foreign aid. Inquiring into these issues and learning lessons from Korea’s experience of economic growth can provide insights on implementation of the 17 sustainable development goals in overall.

This conference aims to promote multilateral and in-depth analysis on Korean Economy by sharing and exchanging academic achievements of international researchers in Korean Economy Studies field.

The conference will include the following components:
