This course was created due to the arising demands within the security field and in our societies, and thanks to the joining efforts of several universities.

The main objective of the course is to offer a quality training to professionals from the public administration, companies and NGOs. The study plan will also allow participants to follow a career as Intelligence Officers.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Methodology used in Intelligence acquisition
  • Characteristics of the Intelligence Officer profile
  • Developing skills to work as intelligence officers in strategic departments, companies and NGOs
  • Intelligence analysis
  • Best intelligence acquisition methods according to each participants’ job/situation

 

The course will be divided into 3 modules:

Module 1: Introduction to the intelligence analysis (Intelligence cycle, Types of intelligence, OSINT/HUMINT/SOCMINT, The use of Intelligence, Legislation and the history of the intelligence services and cooperation between the intelligence organizations)

Module 2. The theory of intelligence (Dossier management and classification of the information, Types of analysis, Operative/Tactic/Strategic analysis, Ciberintelligence, Cibercrime and Ciberterrorism)

Module 3 (The Intelligence Officer: characteristics , limitations and reasoning, The Bayesian analysis, Brainstorming, Scenary analysis, SWOT analysis, Analysis of Competing Hypotheses)

The course will start with a theorical and practical approximation to Intelligence (types of Intelligence, how to acquire Intelligence, etc.)
Online lectures provided by experts both academic and professionals
A total of 60h course (30h of theory + 25h of practise + 5h mentoring)
Video and document analysis
The participants will have to participate in a forum where debate will be encouraged. Their answers will be mark within a maximum qualification of 2.5 point.
The participants will have to write a final assessment (5 point max)

Persons interested to start a career as Intelligence Officers, professional from the public administration and companies who need to acquire intelligence methods in their jobs, and NGO activists.
