In order to create a space to discuss how the outcomes and commitments made in Rio can be implemented, the Stakeholder Forum, in collaboration with several international partners including UNITAR, convenes a Conference entitled “What Happens on Monday?” The Conference will take place on the final day of the Rio+20 Summit, 22 June, from 1pm to 5pm, at T-2 RioCentro and will bring together a diverse range of governmental and non-governmental stakeholders alike to build capacity and expertise on how to develop a post-Rio+20 work plan of implementation. Learning from examples of successful implementation strategies and sharing plans for future efforts will be a focus of the conference; as well as connecting those stakeholders who are doing the implementation work with funders that are looking to support such initiatives. Projects and initiatives presented at the Conference will cover the following key areas: cities; oceans; green jobs and skills; freshwater; and energy.
