Global Citizenship Education is essential for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.  As the world is becoming more interconnected, it is crucial to prepare youth and educate them about global issues affecting our world today. An enhanced understanding of global challenges can facilitate cooperation and the development of innovative solutions.

This public lecture will bring together students from the Jeju Special Self Governing Province to discuss global development related challenges and their responsibilities as global citizens.

This public lecture aims to increase awareness on the sustainable development goals (SDGs) among local students from Jeju Special Self Governing Province and provide an opportunity to exchange perspectives on global challenges. It will also offer a venue for knowledge exchange and for discussion, while contributing to encourage participants to take responsibility as global citizens. 

The public lecture will include the following components:

  • Session 1: Field visit to International Peace Center Jeju
  • Session 2: Keynote presentation on Understanding on Global Citizenship

The event will be delivered through:

  • Lectures delivered by experts
  • A field visit to the Jeju International Peace Center 

The targeted audience is comprised of students from universities in Jeju who are interested in global issues.
