Websites play a key role in the objectives of any Permanent Mission. Through websites, Missions promote their work, events, statements and achievements of their activities in the UN system. However having a website is not enough. The site must be accessible having the user at the center of the experience. Text should be readable, the content must be well organized, and the design must be clean and simple. The workshop will show the members of the Permanent Missions how to plan, design and build a website in order to be more visible and accessible from any part of the world, by using the highest standards of website creation.

After the training, participants would have acquired information and tools about the UN platform that supports Missions in implementing their websites. As well, participants would have understood the work of the UN through the design, development and presentation of the United Nations website.

- Combine management skills, creativity, and the use of leading-edge technologies to positively impact the Missions’ website;

- Acquire practical skills that can directly be applied to the world of graphic communications media;

- Customize your training based upon your interests, professional goals and Missions’ objectives; and

- Build expertise in both management practice and the utilization of technology, while acquiring the knowledge needed to successfully lead and manage your Mission’s website.
